My Book Boyfriend (4): Adrian Ivashkov

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme, hosted by Missie at The Unread ReaderWhat is My Book Boyfriend you might ask.  Well it is a weekly meme where we talk about a literary crush including stats, a picture of what you imagine he looks like and some quotes from him that make you swoon.  If you are interested in participating please check out the My Book Boyfriend Introduction Page over at Missie's blog The Unread Reader.

My choice for this weeks MBB Adrian Ivashkov from the Vampire Academy series and Bloodlines series. He is the type of guy that will forever be on your mind even though you don't want him there. Sometimes I find myself dreaming about the guy who can spirit dream into you so of course who did I see as my Adrian is Ed Westwick. We first meet Adrian in Frostbite book 2 in the VA series.

Stats:
Age: 21 - 6'1''

A royal Moroi

Eye Color: emerald green

high cheekbones

Messy but stylish brown hair

"Don't worry, little dhampir. You might be surrounded by clouds, but you'll always be like sunshine to me."- Adrian Ivashkov (Shadow Kiss)

“I’m like a fine wine. I get better with age. The best is yet to come.”- Adrian Ivashkov (Blood Promise)

"I know. You did what you did out of love. I can't be mad at you over that. It was stupid, but that's how love is."- Adiran Ivashkov (Spirit Bound)

“Takes a lot of tries before you hit perfection." He paused to reconsider that. "Well, except for my parents. They got it on the first try." - Adrian Ivashkov (Bloodlines)

The actor I decided on has and will always be my perfect Adrian, Ed Westwick is an amazing guy who is british and is able to hide his accent on the hit tv show Gossip Girl. He plays Chuck Bass who is an ass but he is a HOT ass. When I was first introduced to Adrian in Frostbite I instantly thought of Chuck aka Ed. He has the persona and can play Adrian so well. Even though I love Dimitri, there was always a reserved spot for Adrian who unexpectedly captured my heart when he never gave up on Rose he reminded me of different characters but of course Adrian is his own self. Until Adrian comes to me in my dreams looking at Ed will be enough plus he is Chuck Bass and the show is on Mondays @ 8 p.m. on The CW. Here is a little of Ed so that you know what I'm talking about because I am sure he will capture your heart like he has mine.

Review: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Bloodlines
Author: Richelle Mead
Pages:421
Publisher: Razorbill
Release Date: August 23rd 2011
Author Website
Available: Amazon|Barnes and Noble

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive - this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood.

My Take:

May contain Spoilers-

The last we saw Sydney she was on her way home after what had happened at Moroi court, she helped Rose Hathaway and what did she get for it not a welcome home party thats for sure.  When your woken up in the middle of the night by your father you know something is up. It seems that because she ha helped a fugitive their was debate of whether to allow Sydney back in or send her to be reformed. The next thing Sydney knows is she is sent off to Palm Springs, California and attending a private school all because she told everyone she could handle it. Watching a princess shouldn't be hard especially if she comes with a body guard who is well capable of taking care of the fighting side of things. Along with the journey of course we see others from the Vampire Academy series and meet more characters, Adrian is by the far the one guy I've had my eyes since well forever and with his heart broken lets just say he tells it like it is no filter. With everything that was happening it seemed that Sydney had alot of things going on at once it was crazy to think that her job could ever get easier but she handled herself even when we the reader found out what her deal with Abe didn't see that coming at all Richelle opened our eyes to warriors who fought to protect a vampire race, with this we get a humans perspective and also get to be inside someone who has no link to someone else its just her and her thoughts. This journey is not over its has just begun and the next one should also be a non-stop thrill ride.

Review: Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules.

She broke the law when she ran away from St. Vladimir’s Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir Princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous, off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardian to come.

Now the law has finally caught up with Rose- for a crime she didn’t even commit. She’s in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She’ll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.

But the clock on Rose’s life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back… and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your life is about saving others, who will save you?

My Take:
This series for me was a roller coaster and it took me awhile to actually finish the series. After finding the first one intriguing, the series took me by storm changing my mood with everything that happened. I was sad, happy, excited, and also found myself laughing while others were wondering why, I was thinking where the book was taking me. In this one particular Rose is on a journey and searching for the key that helps everyone in the long run even herself. Mead was finally able to end on Rose's part in good fashion that would lead all readers and fans wanting more and realizing the end is just the beginning for the new series out this summer. I was able though to know who exactly is in the new series because I meet up with Mead at an event if you want to know who it is just comment you might be surprised who it is.

I still love Adrian even thought Dimitri captured my heart in this one I still fell that pull to my dreamwalker.

Review: Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead

New York Times Bestselling author Richelle Mead gives us hope in Spirit Bound

"Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong…

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri’s birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir’s—and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can’t wait for their real lives beyond the Academy’s iron gates to begin. But Rose’s heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he’s out there, somewhere.

She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true— Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. Only this time, he won’t rest until Rose joins him…forever."

Spirit Bound is the 5th book in The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead and while reading this book not only do I have a million and one questions but I guess I gained a better perspective of Rose the view point in which the book is perceived in. This was amazing because it had me on my feet wanting more romance and more fighting those scenes are the ones o die for while reading them and the way Mead is able to design this image in my head. Personally I love that image a lot.

I just want to say that even though this series is having me on edge, I can't wait to have all the missing pieces to this amazing puzzle. Because it comes out on Tuesday December 7th and I am on edge at this moment in time.
