It’s summer vacation, the weather’s great, and all the kids are having fun outside. So where’s Greg Heffley? Inside his house, playing video games with the shades drawn.
Greg, a self-confessed "indoor person,” is living out his ultimate summer fantasy: no responsibilities and no rules. But Greg’s mom has a different vision for an ideal summer . . . one packed with outdoor activities and "family togetherness.”
Whose vision will win out? Or will a new addition to the Heffley family change everything?
My Take:
It's another round with Greg Heffley except this time its summer and of course with summer comes alot of complicated. Not only are there dogs involved but Greg is able to go on a trip with Rowley only to find out that his family isn't all what he thought they were. Greg also tries to stay inside and play video games but if his parents could prevent him playing inside they will. Since he wasn't shipped off to Military school Greg in enjoying the summer any way he can. He even has his eyes on Holly Hills sister who is working the pool this summer.
I loved the humor and the fact he wasn't going to just do anything for his crush picking up puke wasn't him and of course with all crushes they come to an end, his trip with Rowley only got his dad more disappointed in him and of course the dog. His father went out and picked up the dog and of course the only thing that the dog is attached to is Greg. He sleeps with him in his own bed, I thought it was adorable but Greg thought other wise. Greg would be woken up at 6 when the dod needed to be let out to do his thing and of course the dog hogged the blankets.
I love this series but I'm taking a break from reading 5 and 6 because my sister won't let me read the 6th one till she read it so I'm stuck. So take it from me this was an adorable diary and of course packed full of Greg Heffley's humor.
5/5 stars
